Word Play wrote in the air once more. This time, it's the kanji symbol for Silence. The symbol flew over and circled around the students except Lisianthus while it glowed. The symbol disappeared and Brandon attempted to insult Word Play. However, no sound came out. In fact, no one other than the princess and Word Play are capable of speaking. "I'm growing impatient here. I do not care about your opinion of my goal nor do I care about your idiotic suggestions. The Order's influence are great. Nations are backing them up! All of them are guilty! The follow orders like dogs!", Word Play stated with anger, "Now I'll ask again. Tell me their full names so that I know of their crimes!", he demanded. "Once I have their names, I will learn of their crimes and kill them with satisfaction!", he stated in anger. "You either tell me their full names or I'll get my answers myself!", he threatened.

The Princess had been backed into a corner. Her friends had been silenced by the masked man's spell, which cut their fighting power roughly in half. Only she and the man could speak at the current moment. The man denied and berated all of the students' claims and statements and demanded an answer immediately. Lisia began thinking to herself. 'What is wrong with this man? He so willing to destroy the Order that he's willing to hurt mamono and innocent people to achieve his goal.'
Lisia didn't want to be responsible for more bloodshed caused by this man, but she needed to protect her friends. However as she was about to speak, Anri and Felicie appeared behind the man almost instantly. Using wind walk (a technique that thankfully doesn't require words), they hoped to catch the masked one by surprise and slit his wrists. Their plan was to perhaps cut the man's fighting power down. If couldn't use his hands, he couldn't use his magic.
Lisia tried to use lightning step in order to stop the two before the masked man countered them.

Ruecian stood silently as the King discussed something of importance with the two officials. However, Rue breaks his silence by asking Henry a question. "Henry, tell me. What do you make of the King of Zauberheim? I know we just meet the man, but I need a second opinion on him thus far."

seeing the two slit the Masked mans wrists Ivadi saw his chance, he used the mana that was saturating the air and snapped his fingers he created an advanced level ice magic from the air. this was thanks to one of his secret abilities, "Snapcast" one of the moves that helped Merlin become famous, by using the mana in the air he can create about any spell under high level, in this case, he created a large ice spear. while it was not that destructive as fire spells, it was incredibly fast, and he was within rage of the masked man so if he tried to write something in the air despite his wrists being cut, he'd freeze him solid
(Just to make it clear he's on standby with the ice spear he never fired it off, in case you hadn't noticed)

Annabelle was getting ready to see the fight between the forces of Zauberheim and the Anti-Order extremist. However, her cloaked captor suddenly let her go into a portal which landed her in a haystack outside the barrier. "Oh, what the hell?" Before she could gather her thoughts, she was approached by a guard captain who recognized her as someone involved in the restaurant incident. The captain then picked her up and put on her on the ground with the guards surrounding her.
"All of 'em are inside a barrier the masked guy created." Annabelle answered honestly. "Probably in a pocket dimension or something." Just as she said that, another person appeared near the guards and Annabelle. "Hey it's the cloaked stranger. Pretty sure he's got more answers than I do."
ELSEWHERE
The two outside competitors all asked why they were invited for the tournament. Ruecian was invited for he was a famous and quite skilled warrior from the Eastern lands. Henry, on the other hand, was invited since apparently it was unbecoming to invite noble blood as well as his house was well-respected and he was a traveler who knew a thing or two about royal etiquette.
Since the two asked, Rielle decided to get in on the fun but the king decided to take Tibrus and Ventreus for a private chat. The White Witch sighed and turned to her fellow outsiders. "Hey guys, should we take it easy on the students?" She asked them out of curiosity.

Ruecian looked as the white magician directed a question to both him and Henry. Rue was slightly perplexed by her sudden question, but ultimately didn't pay it much mind. "There's really no need to go full force here. While this is a competition, we're here just for the sake of the students. In addition to whatever else the King wants with us, for that matter."
The mercenary shrugs and makes another statement. "Why do you ask? Do you feel the need to go all out to keep up with the students we talked with at the Citadel? Understandable, if that's the case. They all looked to be quite talented." The mercenary decided to make a antagonistic comment to the woman to gauge her mind. He was still suspicious of her.

To the surprise to everyone, Word Play made no attempt to stop or counter Felicie and Anri. The two slit his wrists and he waved his arms in pain. Not stopping there, Ivadi has a freezing spell on standby. To anyone, they have finally neutralized him. Though, they did not celebrate after they heard a snide comment.
"Oh wow, slitting my wrists and and freezing spell on standby? You guys are ruthless. I love it!", taunted a familiar voice. Everyone turned their attention to Brandon. He was now being held hostage by Word Play. Brandon was on his knees with his head raised to show his neck. The masked vigilante had written Sever in kanji on his neck. "Did you really think that you got the drop on me? I commend for mutilating my decoy.", he stated. At his words, the chest of the clone glowed with the kanji symbol for Decoy and caused the double to disappear into nothingness.
"I have given multiple chances and you still resist. Now it looks like I need to make example out of this kid.", Word Play stated as he patted Brandon's head. "If you're wondering, the symbol means 'sever'. I'm going to help this kid get ahead in life.", he disturbingly joked. However, his attention was distracted when he sensed someone trying to break his barrier from outside.in response, he wrote three more kanji symbols in the air. Fortify, Repair, and Backlash glowed before disappearing.
The hooded figure will find that the barrier repaired and have strengthened itself. If he were to attack again, he will learn that any further attempts of entering the barrier will cause it to retaliate by force.
Word Play focused back onto the others. "I'll give you one last chance. Which is more important? An innocent life or a few names? Your choice...", he said to Lisianthus. Brandon could only closed his eyes in dread and hope for the best. He couldn't even speak because of the spell. He doesn't want to see his mother just yet. "Now put away your trick, boy. Do you really want this kid to get ahead in life?", he asked Ivadi menacingly.

Ivadi made a sighing motion as he makes his ice spear disappear, it seems there was nothing he could do at the moment so he decided to stay still. he didn't like it but he was calling the shots at the moment and with hostages, he cant go all out. it was all on the princess now as he looked at her and wondered what her answer was. though in the end, he preferred not to fight if he didn't have to.

Henry was surprise at the mage's question, but he smilled afterwards, hearing rue replying to her made him frown a bit before he decided to leave his input, "well, it was said that we are here to show the students what outside battles are really like, so I guess that means not holding back...much, although some of them do seem to be quite talented and skilled, that jinko Anri told me that she wouldn't hold back, so no, I will not hold back, I might hold punches if necessary, but otherwise, I won't" he said to them as he them saw the officials coming to speak to the king.
Henry watched with intent as the king spoke to the officials, listening in he was quite surprised but he kept silent and with a normal face as he waited around, soon enough Rue decided to break the silence by asking a question, the question made him raise a brow as he looked at him now, "You felt it too huh? his aura feels weird...can't exactly place what is unnerving about it but I know something in it is, still though if you may ask, he seems like quite the social character, but also a bit imposing, so he is kidna fit to be a king, although this could be a farse in order to deceive us after all, I know my share of royalty and kings to know that acting is quite common" he said to rue, "can't really make an opinion at the moment because im not entirely sure if he is acting up someone he isn't or not, sorry" he said as he then sighed, "I do hope Lisianthus and the others are ok

Anri's and Felicie's surprise attack had failed, and Brandon's life now hung in the balance. Lisia's options were profoundly limited, and the masked man has lost all patience with the students. Though Lisia couldn't bear the thought of one of her fellow students dieing because of her, it may not be a good idea to follow along with the man's demands.
The masked individual was clearly sociopathic, and may still kill the students regardless of what Lisia's decision was. He seemed to be enjoy toying with Brandon's life.
She had one trick up her sleeve, but it was risky. One false move, and Brandon lives the rest of his life without his head. The plan involved a particular spell the Princess had been charging since she arrived in this barrier. Lisia's plan begins with a peculiar statement. "If you want to bargain with me, shouldn't you do it with the real me?" At that the image of Lisianthus everyone was looking at fades away. She then appears behind the masked man before he even realizes what happened. She then begins chanting a magic phrase. "Serpents of the abyss, come forth from the earth and let your fangs pierce my enemies. Venom Seeps from Shadows!"
With that, the ground beneath the three magic users begins to crack and glow a brilliant green light. Immediately several large serpents erupt from the cracks. The Princess had used lightning step, a more advanced method of high speed movement than wind walk, to make an afterimage of herself to fool the masked man. Then using the serpents, she would free Brandon and remove the kanij spell from his neck, and in addition cripple the masked man with the serpent's powerful venom.
He won't be able to fool the Princess with the same decoy trick, as she can see through illusions. The serpents would seek his true self out and bite him with their vicious fangs. Even if he somehow does avoid the attack, she at least hoped Brandon would be safe.

Ruecian hears Henry's response about the King, with wasn't much different that his own. "I see, then I'm not the only one. There's something...misleading about him. At any rate, let's not worry about it too much."
The mercenary also thought of how the students were doing. "I believe they're fine. They're quite capable for young students."
The King gave a cold gaze toward Tibrus after the architect and the mage explained themselves. "Is that right? Well, it's time this man was reminded of why he was invited to my domain in the first place. Tibrus, send the Princess's personal aid, the Elf who's a part of the Royal Guard. Have her scout the market area and see if she can find my daughter and the Wanderer. And do make haste, I hope you understand the situation."

At Lisianthus' words, Word Play tensed up. He knew what was going to happen after years of fighting. He wasn't surprised that her voice came from behind him when she began her incantation. Impressed by her speed, he allow her to complete her incantation despite being able to stop her at any time. He even pushed Brandon forward to ensure that the boy will avoid the spell as much as possible.
When the snakes appeared, he began writing in the air. The moment the snakes attacks him, he cast his spell. Before him was the Kanji symbol for Swap. Grinning under his mask, he activated the symbol moments before the snakes came an inch before him. In a flash of light, Word Play was no longer where he was. At Lisianthus' words, Word Play tensed up. He knew what was going to happen after years of fighting. He wasn't surprised that her voice came from behind him when she began her incantation. Impressed by her speed, he allow her to complete her incantation despite being able to stop her at any time. He even pushed Brandon forward to ensure that the boy will avoid the spell as much as possible.
When the snakes appeared, he began writing in the air. The moment the snakes attacks him, he cast his spell. Before him was the Kanji symbol for Swap. Grinning under his mask, he activated the symbol moments before the snakes came an inch before him. In a flash of light, Word Play was no longer where he was. As Lisia's spell was about to hit the masked man, she suddenly felt a strange sensation coming over her. Before she knew it, she was the one right in front of the snakes that she summoned. However, as the snakes approached her, they immediately flung around her at went straight for the masked man. In addition, the few snakes that were originally supposed to save Brandon had gone underground and had now appeared directly under where the masked one was standing.
The snakes were enchanted and could always seek out their prey, and the Princess could control them freely. As the masked man was apparently preparing new kanji on his wrists the snakes had started to coil around his feet, and the airborne ones were nearly at his position. Lisia prayed that this would at least be somewhat effective, as not only does the spell take some time to prepare, but it also costs a great deal of mana to use. It also doesn't help that the princess only just learned the technique and hadn't actually used it in real combat up until this point. And to top it all off, she was for some reason having trouble summoning her lance to her side, perhaps due to the nature of the barrier. All she could do was hope the snakes would bind him long enough for his wrists to be damaged and the venom to take effect.
Luke had rushed to Brandon to remove the kanji letter from his neck using low-level dispel magic. It was all he could do; not being able to talk due to the masked man's spell weaken their overall magical strength. Luke began thinking to himself with anxiety eating away at him. He couldn't speak so that's all he really could do, and he had yet to master telepathic magic without a stone. 'Oh great Goddess, please let us make it out of this unscathed...'
Felicie on the other hand, could communicate through mental magic. She began speaking to Ivadi telepathically . "Ivadi, things are looking really bad, we have to think of something. This man is admittedly more skilled than I thought, but everyone has a weakness. We just need to find it."

Henry was intrigued while watching the king's expressions and tones as he quickly sent Ruecian and Rielle out to find her, he didn't show it but he was kind of disappointed to be honest, oh well he did understand the reason behind it, although it didn't make it any less annoying "as you with Reinhardt, but if I may" he said pulling out a pendant with a stone at the end of sorts, he quickly got near Rue before he left "Hey Ruecian, take this" he said throwing the pendant to him, "this pendant should detect any abnormal magic spikes, anything above average should be detected, it will glow more and more the closer you are to the magic spot, it should allow you to disrupt, even if temporarily any magic allowing you to analyze it better, this is just one of the things Heide excels in, remember to give it back when you come back" he said with a disheartened tone as he was still disappointed that he couldn't go.

After they had responded to Rielle, the two male outsiders began to talk about how suspicious the king was. They then decided to bring it to light with Henry walking up to the king and asking what was wrong. Rielle did not know whether to be impressed or to cringe at Henry's completely disrespectful behavior. The king, however, was not at all angry but requested that the Heideian return to the others.
Then another disrespectful action happened, Ruecian interjected on Henry's and the king's conversation. He pointed out what could be worrying the king and while Reinhardt was irritated at first, he confirmed what the Ghost of Arcana said. He then accepted Ruecian's proposal of searching for the missing people. He then turned to Rielle, the only one who had not joined the conversation.
"Of course Your Highness. I shall do my utmost best to resolve this situation as quickly as possible." Rielle accepted with no protest.
With that, Ruecian and Rielle walked to the throne room's exit.
Rielle sighed and snapped her fingers, opening a portal in front of her for her to walk into.
ELSEWHERE
The cloaked figure tried to breach the barrier containing the students only to find it repairing itself and becoming even stronger. Everyone's attention was focused on the currently impenetrable barrier. Annabelle figured this was a good time to escape and so she nonchalantly moved away from the scene and checking if any of the guards was watching her.
"Wait you!" Indeed one of the guards had noticed her. "Where do you think you're going?"
"I... umm..." Annabelle started to think up an excuse but luckily for her she did not have to.
"Belle?" A familiar female voice called to her as well as rescuing her. "What are you doing here?"
"Rielle!" The cannibal recognized. "Look, there's been a misunderstanding and it kinda turned into this..." She explained the situation, motioning at the group of guards surrounding a seemingly empty space.
Rielle looked at the guard. "Look buddy, I'm here on orders from the king. So kindly let this girl go."
"But she's a suspect and where's your proof of being from the king?" The guard protested. Rielle did not respond, instead stared at the guard unamused. "Uhh... very well." He surrendered.
"Thanks Elle! Now can you get these bindings off?" Annabelle turned around to show her tied up hands. "It's magical so it's invisible."
Rielle let out a sigh before muttering. "Esaeler." The magical bindings Annabelle has disappeared and the cannibal move her arms freely. "Now what exactly's going on?"
"Well I'll be blunt, you know that guy from the restaurant that attacked us?" Belle answered with Rielle remembering that not-so-pleasant day. "He attacked me, the students from the Citadel came, he demanded me, the students refused and now they're inside a barrier the guy created." She then added. "I got out thanks to the cloaked guy." She pointed at the Cloaked Wanderer.
"I see. So Order-hunter's dancing with those students from the Citadel." Rielle smiled. She knew the masked man after them would now be an enemy of the kingdom after capturing the Princess which meant she and Belle can expect help from the locals if the Order-hunter shows up. "This is... a pleasant outcome."
"Huh?" Annabelle looked at her companion
"Nothing. Now stay back. I have orders from the king to help deal with this." Rielle approached the scene but waited for anyone else to do something.

Ruecian arrived to the market to hear the conversation between Rielle and the other woman he met at the Citadel. Today has been a very strange one. According to Annabelle, a simple "misunderstanding", turned into a fight between students and a supposed Anti-Order Vigilante. Apparently Annabelle was thrust out of a barrier of sorts by the vigilante and arrived back here in the market, courtesy of the Cloaked Wanderer who was also on the seen.
As his name suggested, he had the look of a hooded traveler. Though, nothing else really stood out about the man, at least to those with untrained eyes. The mercenary could sense a strange aura from this man, although it was faint. It was being dampened by something, a seal perhaps? Whatever the case, half of the mercenary's job had been completed. The second part of finding the princess and her friends came next.
"So, they're trapped inside a magical barrier fighting a vigilante? My, how did this all happen? Today seemed so peaceful. At any rate, we have to get those kids out of the barrier." Ruecian turns to the Cloaked Wanderer. "I assume you haven't had much luck in getting through the barrier? Must be quite the annoyance." The mercenary then pulls out the stone given to him by Henry, an item with strange properties. It apparently had the ability to dispel magical effects for a time. Rue holds up the stone, which begins to glow with a bright light. At that, the barrier in question had appeared before their eyes, and had begun to weaken from the looks of it.
As the barrier begins to dispel, Rue asks the Wanderer and the two women a question about the assailant . "The three of you have fought this Anti-Order fellow at least once, yes? Tell me, how strong is the man? Anything about him in particular?"

At the departure of the two warriors, the King makes a large sigh. "Hopefully things pan out smoothly. We can't afford to have major complications this far in. I also pray that my Princess has managed to keep herself out of trouble." Reinhardt closes his eyes and thinks for a moment, as the situation has gotten rather difficult to manage so to speak.
"Now Mr. Hansees, since you are the only one left I suppose there isn't much we can accomplish at the moment. If you'd like you can tour the castle with Tibrus, whose family built this very palace from the ground up."

The impenetrable barrier lost its title when Ruecian held up a strange stone that glowed with a bright light. Its effect became apparent when the barrier holding the students and the masked man started to weaken. As the barrier begins to dispel, Ruecian had a question for the cloaked man and the two Orderites.
"Yeah!" The cannibal agreed. "It's like he could do anything as long as it was written down."
MEANWHILE
Assassin stopped his facade when he was sure no one was following or onto him. He removed his shades once more and pulled up his hood, reverting to his default appearance. He then entered an alleyway and climbed one of the buildings. Upon reaching the roof, he began to make his way back to the potions shop, jumping from roof to roof. He knew he had not gone far and thus he would be able to see the aftermath of his action, had it succeeded.
The hooded man finally reached a roof overlooking the scene, hiding himself behind the ridged roof he was on. Assassin noticed a group of guards, a familiar face from the Academy, another familiar face who gave him the ominous poem and... Rielle and Annabelle. Assassin was not at all happy when he saw the cannibal completely unharmed but he noticed something else. The students from the Citadel were nowhere to be found and the stranger from the Academy was using a stone to dispel what seemed to be a barrier.
Assassin hanged out to find out what would happen next.

The moment the snakes came upon Word Play, he has already finished altering the words on his arms. No longer needing the movement of his arms, he manifested ink that levitated in the air that formed a sentence. The sentence was 'Eradicate all serpents before me.' which caused the snakes to disintegrate into dust. Wiping some of the remains of the snakes off of him, Word Play began making his way to the princess. He could tell that the girl was exhausted. Most likely that it must have been the first time she used the spell in combat. She must have been desperate to use such an unreliable spell on him.
Luke was successful in removing the word from Brandon's throat. The symbol for Sever was now gone and Brandon is safe from its effect. He gave Luke a nod of thanks.
As he advanced towards the girl, he did not care that Brandon was saved, though he acknowledged Ivadi's thoughts into his own. 'Telepathy? My, you guys have some neat tricks.', Word Play responded in his mind as he turn his attention to the white haired boy. Raising his arm at the boy, he prepares to cast another spell when the boy began telling him something.
However, when he stood up, he staggered. He lost a significant amount of blood from the wounds and the spells he had casted. He is now nauseated to the point he's having some issue with focusing. Though that does not mean that he was not aware that someone is attempting to enter the barrier. Almost as if someone is using a spell or an enchanted item to nullify the barrier. Granted, it'll only last for a short period of time, it means that he'll be expecting a few guests. He'll have to be ready for them.

To those outside the barrier, item that the mercenary had used caused an opening in the barrier for them to enter. Though, the opening is only temporary. It'll closed up quite quickly. Only a few may enter or leave while the effects of the item quickly wears off.

Still angry at the white haired boy, he manifested ink that wrote itself into a sentence that flew straight at Ivadi. 'Smite him down!' was the sentence and Ivadi shall be struck with a firm blow that'll sent him to the ground. With that spell casted, he turns his attention back to the princess and attempted to cast another spell. He was aware that she was the princess of Zauberheim, he'll use that as his advantage. The moment the snakes came upon Word Play, he has already finished altering the words on his arms. No longer needing the movement of his arms, he manifested ink that levitated in the air that formed a sentence. The sentence was 'Eradicate all serpents before me.' which caused the snakes to disintegrate into dust. Wiping some of the remains of the snakes off of him, Word Play began making his way to the princess. He could tell that the girl was exhausted. Most likely that it must have been the first time she used the spell in combat. She must have been desperate to use such an unreliable spell on him.
Luke was successful in removing the word from Brandon's throat. The symbol for Sever was now gone and Brandon is safe from its effect. He gave Luke a nod of thanks.
As he advanced towards the girl, he did not care that Brandon was saved, though he acknowledged Ivadi's thoughts into his own. 'Telepathy? My, you guys have some neat tricks.', Word Play responded in his mind as he turn his attention to the white haired boy. Raising his arm at the boy, he prepares to cast another spell when the boy began telling him something.
At his words, Word Play actually showed a sign of shock when the kanji symbol for Scribe literally carved itself on his arms. Roaring in pain, he collapsed to his knees as he's forced to heal his wounds or risk blood loss. Not only had Ivadi managed to find a flaw in his magic, he also altered the medium of his spells. Word Play would manifest ink with his magic, but the wounds he inflicted onto himself caused the medium to be his own blood. Creating two new kanji symbols, he wrote Alter and Heal onto himself in his own blood. Using Alter, he changed Scribe to Writer. However, he now have Writer carved into his arms. Using Heal, he healed his wounds and prepare to strike the white haired boy down."while Scribe can be used to describe a person who makes a living by copying books and documents, it can ALSO be used to describe the action to mark a line on by cutting or scratching with a pointed instrument, and since Automatic can be used to describe acting or doing spontaneously, this is instant!"
However, when he stood up, he staggered. He lost a significant amount of blood from the wounds and the spells he had casted. He is now nauseated to the point he's having some issue with focusing. Though that does not mean that he was not aware that someone is attempting to enter the barrier. Almost as if someone is using a spell or an enchanted item to nullify the barrier. Granted, it'll only last for a short period of time, it means that he'll be expecting a few guests. He'll have to be ready for them.

To those outside the barrier, item that the mercenary had used caused an opening in the barrier for them to enter. Though, the opening is only temporary. It'll closed up quite quickly. Only a few may enter or leave while the effects of the item quickly wears off.

Still angry at the white haired boy, he manifested ink that wrote itself into a sentence that flew straight at Ivadi. 'Smite him down!' was the sentence and Ivadi shall be struck with a firm blow that'll sent him to the ground. With that spell casted, he turns his attention back to the princess and attempted to cast another spell. He was aware that she was the princess of Zauberheim, he'll use that as his advantage. He created another sentence, 'Copy the Princess of Zauberheim's memories!', and sent it towards the princess. Should the spell be effective, he'll have the memories of the princess of Zauberheim. He'll no longer need her to tell him the names of the Orderites. He will remember their names himself.

Tibrus merely remained silent as things progressed. He didn't show it but his...caution towards the King was only further cemented with what just happened. He could understand being upset for his daughter's safety, Tibrus knew all too well being a father himself. But this was different, there was too much focus on the last competitor not arriving when heeded.
The Architect mentally sighed in slight relief when the Kings attention to was directed at the mercenary's inquiring about the situation. After the Ghost of Arcana and the White Witch left Tibrus perked when the King suggested he give Henry a tour of the castle. He knew a signal to leave when he saw one, and so complied.
"It would be my pleasure milord. By your leave my King." He gave a bow before turning to the tourist in question.
"Come lad, I have no doubt you'll find the tour of most interest."

No reaction was seen from the figure as the cracks that once crossed the span of the street shrunk and disappeared seemingly on their own. Nor was there any response when the girl he had apprehended was released thanks to a bullied guard. The news that the masked one was an Order-hunter made his head twitch slightly to the side, as if to hear the conversation better. After hearing the rest of the exchange the figure stared back at the space where the students were held captive. Hearing a man address him about the barrier the figure gave a slight nod.
"Quite so." The response was curt, but not disrespectful. He took notice of the man raising a small stone to weaken the barrier, perking up slightly. He turned to give the man a side glance when the conversation turned to the masked man's abilities.
"Indeed, which will make him a dangerous opponent and one to not be underestimated." As the barrier weakened the figure raised an arm towards the barrier before addressing the others.
"Combined with that stone the barrier should break after this next spell. I figure the priority should be the student's safety, yes? Then may I propose both you miss and the gentleman beside me make sure the student's escape without harm? Leave apprehending the masked one to me." Despite the warm weather a brisk breeze blew through the street as the figure raised his arm just slightly. Those that could feel it would sense a concentration of power.
Without warning a space appeared in the barrier wall, giving the figure a short pause. Looking inside all could see the masked man firing an unknown spell at one of the students. Swiftly raising a second arm straight the figure did not hesitate with a further charge of power.
"Hadō no yon. Byakurai." Without warning a loud streak of yellowish white energy rushed forward, colliding with the ground between the order-hunter and the female student with a great crash. The shaking ground would cause those closest to the beam to stumble, the student actually falling over.
"Bakudo no Hachi-juu-ich. Dankū!" A large translucent barrier appeared before the fallen student blocking the unknown spell. He held the rectangular barrier in place as the spell tried to push through. He called out to all those around on either side of the barrier.
"Go! Before the opening closes!" Whether he spoke to the students to escape or those outside to jump in was anyone's guess, the truth of his words was not in doubt.

The assassin watching would find another note in the same pocket as last time, the note being a little more straightforward.
'Keep watching for the moment. You are of no use to your charge unless you remain alive. The girl's time will come soon enough.'
