This time it's houri, an angel that serves the goddess of love Eros.

位的にはエンジェルと同じ下位の天使にあたります。
In terms of rank, they are lower rank angels equivalent to "angel."

愛に満ちた性格で、善行を積んだ男性や、愛に飢えた男性のもとへとやってくるそうです。
They have personalities filled with love, and it seems they appear before men who accumulated good deeds, or love-starved men.

元ネタのフーリーには「永遠の処女」であるという特徴があるのですが、図鑑には既にアリスが居ますので、
In the source material houris have the distinguishing trait of being “eternal virgins”, but the encyclopedia already has alice, so,

図鑑のフーリーたちは、また別の「永遠の○○」になっているそうです。
it seems the encyclopedia houris have become another kind of “eternal ○○”.

The houri is an angel of the goddess Eros, drawn to men who've performed virtuous deeds. They also have the possibility to form harems, and... erm, a 'certain saint' is reported to have a harem of 72 houri. So, uh, yeah.

Also, interestingly enough, they aren't monster girls - they're just angels of Eros doing what they do best. Instead of corrupting the men, they encourage them to live a life of virtue. They are called 'eternal newlyweds' for their unchanging love.

And regarding the new MG, her design just screams "magical girl" to me. *shivers* Though i have to admit the ribbon wings are a nice touch.

Well now, this was completely unexpected; had never heard of the Houri before, so I have absolutely no idea about what to expect here.

Still, based on what GSJ said, the fact that they aren't MGs (which I am to assume that he means that they do not obey the Demon Lord), is perhaps the most interesting thing about them.

So... This is why Apsara was turned into "Al-Apsarah" into MGE's setting,in order to not make this girl feel completely left out.

The cult of love keeps expanding its mythological M.U.G.E.N, Greek, Hindu and now Islamic (So much for replacing Eros with Parvati in fanon now...^^U).

She looks nice (and has some interesting details in it like the heart shaped "halo") and seems rather faithful to the original source which is a plus (in my eyes of course), so no complaints so far.

Kenkou has stated (and it's even in the first post of this thread) that the only thing that remains everlastingly pure on them is their love.
They're not eternally virgins but eternally lovestruck girls.
