The Pokemon RP

[Creator_Drake]

Having woken up at sunrise, Asmund had worked on some morning exercises under Beldum's curious gaze. Once done the metalnian cleaned himself up in the wash-bin provided my his gracious hosts before donning his clothes for the day, a style similar to yesterday with trousers, boots and sleeveless shirt under a long sleeved coat.

Remembering the directions Lady Edea had given yesterday Asmund made his way to the main dining hall, Beldum following behind dutifully. After giving a hearty good morning to every soldier, maid and butler he came across the man and pokemon entered the dining hall, finding to his surprise that he was the only heir present. Sharing a look with Beldum, Asmund gave a shrug before making his way to the table, removing his coat before sitting down.

Catching the attention of a passing maid, he asked her over.

"Excuse me miss, are we awaiting Lady Edea and the other heirs before starting this mornings meal or are we allowed to start whenever we wish?" He did not wish to rude of course, he may be hungry but he could wait for his hostess to arrive if needed.

[Heero]

"hmm interesting. no doubt its a setup. we shall keep our heads for for anything suspicious right Dee?" Deino yips in answer and wags his stubby tail.
Gabriel opens the door and starts his way toward the dining hall.

[Oersted]

After having all the trouble in the world to get some more shut eye Maru awoke still feeling rather tired, he got up regardless and prepared himself for the day ahead of him. While going about his usual morning routine he found a note that had been slipped in his room during the night, it seems that the castle staff was inviting all the heirs to a large breakfast, while not really hungry Maru thought it would be a good idea to still go there, at least like that he could interact with the other heirs more, after all he didn't really have a chance to do so earlier. Once he was done with his usual morning stuff Maru grabbed Arachi and left for where the breakfast was to be held.

[Drack]

Asmund:

The maid nods "Of course you can eat now sir, the castle staff planned this meal for the convince of you and our other gracious guests, we were waiting on at least one of you to arrive before beginning the meal. Now that you have arrived I we can bring out the food." She gives you a humble bow before walking into the kitchen, after a short time she returns with several other maids wheeling out several carts of assorted berries and other breakfast foods for a simple buffet style meal. After bringing out the feast the assembled staff all bow their heads respectfully to you. The maid from before once again speaks up. "Here you are sir, feel free to eat as much as you please and if you need anything feel free to let one of us know."

After a short time Reyn and Cassandra along with their Pokemon walk in together discussing battle strategies together. Reyn spots you and calls out to him "Aye, looks like me and Cassandra aren't the only two early birds here." He says with a laugh as they take a seat at the large dinning table next to you.

Maru:

As you enter the main hall on your way to go to the dining hall you spot Edea and her Whismur coming from the northern hall, most likely where her room is. Once she spots you she waves with a happy smile "Hiya, I don't think we have properly met....My name is Edea Pellar and this is my partner Whismur nice to meet you." Her Whismur timidly peers out from behind Edea's leg to greet you, causing Edea to chuckle "Don't mind Whismur he's just shy, so are you off to the breakfast...if so I'll join you I was heading there as well."

Gabriel:

Making your way out of your room you see a handful of other heirs leaving their rooms as well including: Ashley and Sneasel, Graham and Tynamo, Yuri and Murkrow, and another heir and her Swinub. Graham walks up to you "Hello Gabriel, did you get a invitation to a breakfast as well? I imagine that's where everyone will be heading for now."

Nate:

Making your way through the village you find your way back to "The Merry Blissey". Once inside, you find only Heather cleaning the bar, she looks up noticing you enter "Oh, your here early I didn't think you would show up so quickly." She runs her hands through her hair noticing it's only you and Athena "Um, where are the others...I thought all of you would be helping today, especially Edea, but If your waiting on the others I can make you a drink while we wait on them."

[Creator_Drake]

Asmund gave a pleasant nod as the food was brought in, grin widening as the sight of so much food. He gave thanks to the maid once everything was done. Beldum all the while kept turning every which way to gaze at everything it could.

"At ease my friend, else you'll get dizzy." He gave a chuckle as Beldum somehow gained a sheepish look before looking at the bowl of mixed berry's placed before him, the bowl nearly as large as it was. Without further tempting Beldum dug in. Asmund shook his head, lifting his glass to take a drink when he spotted Reyn and Cassandra come in through the doors.

"Ah. Come my friends! I assume you both had a pleasant night's rest?" His smile was wide and cheerful as they both sat down. He fixed himself with a large plate piled with food before digging in. He started with the pancakes, taking a bite and chewing with delight before turning to the others.

"No need to worry my friends, the staff was merely waiting until one of us had arrived to begin this mornings meal. I for one will be taking seconds." He ended with a laugh before digging once more into the pancakes, his movements refined though surprisingly fast.

[Oersted]

Maru walked in silence until he entered the main hall and was approached by Edea, in response to her greeting and introduction Maru gave a slight bow before speaking "Nice to meet you as well, I am Maru of Maiasmya and this little one is Arachi." he said before motioning to the spider pokemon clinging to his shoulder. After Edea mentioned the breakfast he nodded "Yes, I was indeed heading there, although in all honesty I am not really hungry. But I thought it would be a good way to interact more with the others." he told her.

[Heero]

"Good morning Graham, yes i did, we were on our way there." as he starts walking down the hallway.

[Nexous]

I look around the bar, and smile at Heather apologetically. "Clearly early morning for me is a bit earlier than the others. A drink would be delightful. While I wait I suppose I could help out around the bar if you need anything done."

[Drack]

Asmund:

Reyn and Cassandra both turn their attention to the food, Reyn sharing in your laugh as as he gathers a small bowl of berries for Heracross and a plate of eggs and toast for himself "Ha, yeah I slept pretty well for not being home. I would eat more as well, but I prefer to eat a light meal before battling...and we might have to battle wild Pokemon in the woods." Cassandra gathers a plate of food for herself and Riolu as everyone sits down near you and Beldum. Cassandra speaks up "I slept well also, but Asmund, Reyn and myself were debating something, and I am curious on your opinion on the matter. Do you think it is more beneficial to train on your own or in a group? Personally, I feel while it may be more difficult to battle with just you and your Pokemon it offers far more when you succeed."

Reyn chuckles as he puts honey on his toast "Perhaps, if it is just one fight, but you will wear yourself out much quicker...while a skilled party of warriors could train all day, its true you would get less benefit that way but with more battles I think it would favor this way, however Dad always said you never want to train in a group larger than six warriors."

Its at this time Maru and Edea along with their Pokemon walk in together, and shortly after Gabriel and Deino, Ashley and Sneasel, Graham and Tynamo, Yuri and Murkrow, and another heir and her Swinub enter the dining hall. Seeing everyone Reyn calls out "No need to stand around everyone, the staff was waiting until one of us had arrived to begin this mornings meal, and everyone can eat at their own pace."

Maru:

"Ah, yes it's been fun getting to know everyone...I've gotten to know a few of the others but not everyone yet, however I bet a lot of them will show up this morning." Edea says cheerfully as the two of you make your way to the dining hall. Once inside you see a large dining table able to fit many people and Pokemon with Asmund, two other heirs, and their Pokemon eating together. Nearby is several carts of assorted berries and other breakfast foods wheeled together for a simple buffet style meal.

Not long after you enter a larger group of heirs walk in behind you, and the heirs already eating notice you the heir with a Heracross proudly calls out "No need to stand around everyone, the staff was waiting until one of us had arrived to begin this mornings meal, and everyone can eat at their own pace."

Gabriel:

You and the other heirs along side you make your way through the castle halls with haste. Once you finally make your way to the dining hall. Once inside you see a large dining table able to fit many people and Pokemon with Asmund, two other heirs, and their Pokemon eating together along with Edea and Maru who seem to have gotten their just before you. Nearby is several carts of assorted berries and other breakfast foods wheeled together for a simple buffet style meal.

Seeing everyone Reyn calls out "No need to stand around everyone, the staff was waiting until one of us had arrived to begin this mornings meal, and everyone can eat at their own pace."

Nate:

Heather smiles warmly "Alright, that sounds good to me." She then pours you a glass of Moomoo Milk, and then quickly mixes some berries together to make Athena a cup of Berry Juice. Heather then goes back to cleaning as you drink "So, I bet everyone is eating at the castle this morning, so they might be a while..."

She is then cut short as Zelos and his Lotad enter the bar "Ha, why it's my favorite lady in Palette lady Heather." He says jokingly as he takes a seat next to you "I'll have a Moomoo Milk for me and a Berry Juice for Lotad just like my buddy over here." She shakes her head dismissively as she makes his drinks "Zelos right? Does this mean you'll be helping me along with Nate and the others?"

Zelos leans back in his chair "Prehaps, it depends on how many people are going...too many people running around and they will scare off all the Pokemon."

[Creator_Drake]

Humming to himself, Asmund took a moment to finish the last of his pancakes as he pondered the question. Leaning back after taking a drink, he held a hand to his chin while tapping the armrest of his chair.

"That is a very good question Lady Cassandra. I can see the arguments for both but I personally lean more towards fighting together as a group outside of only a few situations. You were correct Reyn when you spoke of skilled warriors being able to train all day but I'll respectfully disagree on what benefit there is to be gained with such a method. For the most part training with a group can be quite beneficial to all in the group, depending on how you utilize your time and methods. In a group you have partners for sparring and technique development, not to mention debating ideas and strategy. Alone you don't have the benefit of different opinions that could help shed light on a challenge though any discoveries you make are yours to keep of course." He paused a moment to take another drink, wiping his mouth with a napkin after.

"Also, when alone you rely on only yourself and when you have the skills to do so it can work, but when you don't you rely more on luck and the competence of your opponent. Duels of course you must battle alone, unless it be a double duel but those are rare." Grabbing an apple he took a bite.

"If it's a personal challenge you feel must be done alone then by all means, that is your path to take. But surmounting a challenge together, with trusted friends and comrades to share in victory is something I feel everyone should have a chance to experience."

[Nexous]

I take a drink of my milk, then Zelos comes in as well. "Greetings Zelos. Hey perhaps after our drinks we could spar, we may be in for quite the wait. We could go outside, and Lady Heather could be the ref." I turn to Heather. "If that's ok with you. Though try not to be too wooed by sir Zelos' battling skills." I say teasingly.

[Heero]

Gabriel smiles at the spread and goes to the nearest cart and starts loading up a plate for Deino "Alright buddy we got berries, oranges, pineapple-- That's mine-- mango, what would you like?"
"Dee--Dei-De-No"
"Gotcha...Alright thats your plate...now to mine..."

[Oersted]

After reaching the dining hall Maru looked at the carts of food for a moment before looking to his partner "Well, Arachi, are you hungry?" he asked the spider pokemon who then replied in the form of a nod which prompted Maru to reply "Alright, let's get you something then." and make his way to the carts before picking some berries for Arachi and then something else for himself before finally going to sit down at the table.

[Drack]

Asmund, Gabriel and Maru:

Once everyone has sat down together Edea stands up raising her glass to give a toast "Hello everyone, I don't have anything special to say really I just wanted to say I'm glad all of you decided to come here today for breakfast it has been nice meeting and getting to know all of you, and the rest of the guests during your stay here.", With that she bows respectfully and takes her seat again as everyone begins to eat and talk amongst themselves...

Asmund:

An unknown heir sits next to you along with her Swinub...Reyn and Cassandra look at each other for a moment thinking over your words "Ah, I suppose your right that does make sense.", Reyn says with a shrug. "Indeed, Asmund is wiser than either of us.." Cassandra says respectfully as she begins to eat.

After Edea speaks and everyone begins to eat the unknown heir looks over to you "Hello, I don't think we have met yet my name is Clair Owen of Snowspire and this is my friend Swinub nice to meet you.", She says with a smile looking over to Beldum as Swinub eagerly feasts on berries ignoring the conversation "So, what plans do you and your partner have for today?"

Maru:

After Edea speaks and everyone begins to eat the heir next to you speaks up "I suppose now would be a good time for introductions, my name is Cassandra Grey of Steelfist and this is my partner Riolu.", She looks over to her Pokemon for a moment as Riolu sits beside her eating happily. She turns her attention back to you looking you over for a moment "You seem strong, some of the others are going by the school after breakfast to train with the students if your interested."

Gabriel:

After Edea speaks and everyone begins to eat Ashley and her Sneasel turn their attention to you "Gabriel right, I remember you from the battle yesterday I never got to congratulate you on your impressive battling...I don't think we properly introduced either my name is Ashley Crimson and this is my friend Sneasel...so what plans to you have for today?"

Nate:

Heather just silently shakes her head at your joke while Zelos laughs "Ha, don't worry I'll try to not be as great as usual and let your battling skills look good as well..." He says in a teasing tone as he finishes his milk and gets up from his seat "Well I'll head outside and wait for you two, wouldn't want to battle in here and accidentally tear the place up.", With that he heads outside and Heather chuckles to herself "Well, he's quite confident isn't he I wonder if he hears all the nonsense he speaks...well when your ready we can go out and begin."

[Creator_Drake]

Before either Reyn or Cassandra could answer, Edea spoke and raised a toast towards the current positive relations. With a wide grin Asmund raised his own cup in a silent hail as the princess bowed, before drinking the cup empty. Setting it down he heard his friends speak their piece in reply to his opinion. Rubbing the back of his head he gave a somewhat nervous laugh.

"Haha, I wouldn't call it wisdom per say..." Before he could continue he caught another young heir sitting beside him, putting an eager Swinub alongside Beldum to eat berries. Raising a fist to his heart he gave as much of a respectable bow from his chair as he could after hearing her introduction.

"Until this morning your words rang true, Lady Clair. It is an honour to meet you, I am Asmund Aradace or Metalnia and this here is my partner, Beldum." Hearing it's name Beldum perked up from its berries, turning back and forth till it's red eye landed on Asmund and Clair. Giving a gesture towards Clair, Asmund gave his partner the clear message. Looking at Clair, Beldum gave what looked to be a bow of its own.

"Dum, Bel~dum." Seeing the smile on his partners face, Beldum turned right back to its berries, feasting with gusto which caused Asmund to laugh.

"Beldum's a character, that one." With a face of mirth he turned to Clair.

"Well, to answer your question Lady Clair, the first thing we plan on doing is continue feasting while in the company of good friends. Afterwards some of the other heirs plus the Princess and myself were planning a small adventure of sorts in order to help another friend of ours. How about yourself? What plans do you have for this fine day?"

[Heero]

Gabriel sets his fork down and wipes his mouth off before answering, "Nice to meet you Ashley and sneasel, this is Deino, thank you i'm glad you enjoyed it. I think after breakfast me and deino will go train...would you care to join? i'd like to see your abilities."

[Nexous]

I smerk. "Well, we will have to see who has misplaced confidence then, and no I highly doubt he does." I respond to Heather as I follow Zelos outside. "Athena use confusion!" I say once we are in battling position."

[Oersted]

Shortly after Edea's toast another heir introduced herself to Maru to which he nodded before speaking in turn "I am Maru of Maiasmya, and this is Arachi. Its nice to meet you." he simply said, taking another bite of his food while Cassandra looked to her partner. After that she told him that he looked strong and that her and some other heirs were going to go to the school and train with the students there, saying that if he was interested he could come along, to which Maru responded "Hm, that sounds interesting. And it would allow me to see more of the town, too, so I'll come along."

[Drack]

Asmund:

"Hm, that sounds interesting if you and the others wouldn't mind I would like to join you.", Clair says with a smile while her Swinub looks up from its plate of berries looking to its trainer causing her to laugh "Heh, I guess you'll be happy to finally get out and see some of the town as well.", Meanwhile Cassandra finishes her meal and thanks Edea before addressing Maru before leaving, and shortly after that Reyn finishes his meal getting up "That was a great meal give my thanks to those who made it, I think I'll get a head start and see how Lady Heather is doing at the Tavern.", With that Reyn and Heracross set off to meet up with Heather and the others.

Maru:

"It is nice to meet you as well Maru of Maiasmya, and I am glad you decided to join us in training...Gabriel of Fangdar and Graham Jones of Wattray are the other two that I know of that will be assisting." She finishes her meal getting up from her seat looking over to Edea "This was a great meal Lady Edea, give my thanks to your staff...", She pauses turning her attention back to you "If your unsure of where to find the school I will wait outside the castle for you and show you the way though the town."

Gabriel:

"Hm, that sounds tempting, but I will sadly have to pass...I already made a promise to help someone else in the town with some of the others and it would be wrong to go back on my word.", She shrugs "But, I wish you luck on your training I hope it goes well for you and the others.", She then goes back to eating and none of the other heirs address you while you eat. Cassandra then gets up having finished her meal and gives you a nod as she goes to leave with her partner followed shortly by Reyn and Heracross.

Nate:

Heather gives you a silent nod as the two of you walk outside and take your places in the middle of the road as in quick battlefield "Well, that was quick guess your raring to shake off yesterdays loss eh?", Zelos says arrogantly as the battle starts.

Ralts unleashes a mild psychic attack on Lotad knocking it off of its feet (-9hp). Zelos seems unfazed by this result "Alright Lotad, lets show them how it's done with a Giga Drain!", Lotad gets up and strikes back sapping Ralts' strength (-9hp) Lotad then absorbs Ralts stolen energy (+4hp). As Ralts rebounds from the attack it quickly drinks the Berry Juice that Heather gave it bringing it back up to full strength (+20hp)

Ralts: 19/19 hp
Lotad: 15/20 hp
