Were this a true Khezu simulator, it would roar every ten seconds. Nevertheless, I got a kick outta this.

So, in my eternal quest to progress in this game I ran into a rather sizeable snag, I did all the caravan missions up to 10* quests but annoyingly enough unlocking more quest there is linked to progressing in the Elder Hall so going at it solo is now very annoying. Also, The Caravaneer's Challenge was very troublesome, it pits you againsts an already charged up Zinogre that later frenzies and a Furious Rajang at the same, after those two are dealt with Shagaru Magala shows up to ruin the day, and did I mention this quest is located in the Sanctuary? But I cleared it anyway and earned the Rainbow color for the armor pigments which is pretty trippy.

Also, I made the Nerscylla sword and built it up to where its next upgrade will turn it into a Shrouded Nerscylla weapon, and the one thing I have to say about it is that "Sleep-Bombing" is really fun, and effective. Especially since I was able to gem in the skills Bombardier and Trap Master, to deal more damage with bombs and set up the bombs faster, respectively.

Lastly, to Ace and Sai, darn I really haven't been lucky getting ahold of you guys, tried to hop in a few times but your rooms were full most of the time.

Lol sorry man, ost of our hunts usually end up like that. Even if you ended up joining, we we're doing pretty sizeable hunts, or to be more precise, extremely difficult and frustrating ones like a guild quest for a level 140 apex deviljho. It kills us every fucking time...

Me and sai are good too, but even we die once in awhile either by stupid luck or mistiming of our dodges. And those who would go hunting with us aren't so patient, usually leaving after 2 or three failed attempts.

Then I'm gonna sound really pathetic as I crawl to you guys for help with this Pink Rathian. I can't do it with other HR4 people, let alone by myself.

If you don't have time to assist with it, could you at least offer some advice? I'm starting to think that my preference of dodging attacks isn't working and that I should go for a more tanky style with a shield.

Depends on the skill set you have really. It's hard to get decent armor at your rank. The way I went through with high rank is ti simply use Gore Magala's high rank armor and go from there till G rank.

As for your style. It really is up to you. Bur you also have to consider that being a lancer means that you'll be using up a lot of stamina just from blocking. I prefer avoiding damage altogether rather than mitigating it with blocking. But I can do both really

That shark kills gravios and other water-weak monsters like Zinogre in minutes, though. The best joke weapons are the lethal joke weapons!

On the subject of joke weapons, I got one of the felyne themed weapons (sword and shield) that has high paralysis chance, but low damage. I figured if I used it with the Bnahabra armor set that increases status ailment effectiveness, it would be useful. I've used it in a few online quests and I'm lucky if I can paralyze the monster twice. So is it just useless?

And another thing! What is up with konchus randomly attaching themselves to boss monsters while I'm fighting them?

They do this to make you bounce off once when trying to attack that certain part. Unless you have minds eye, this can be annoying since it leaves you open to attacks from the main monster

And another update from me, I just got into G3 by beating the Chaotic Gore Magala urgent, by myself. Was one heck of a fight, but once it was done it felt really satisfying doing it alone. Anyhow, I'm currently wearing the Monodevil(White Monoblos) set and I've been using Switch Axes much more often as of late and tried using Insect Glaive a bit, now that I have a decent one. Been awhile. I'm 300 hours in and now a hardened hunter. And here I am asking for help once again.

I have my urgent for G3. Gogmazios. I've done the quest about 4 times for other people's urgents and haven't succeeded yet. So I was hoping to get some assistance from some of you gents.

Edit: Nevermind. Was fortunate enough to get a solid group and we took it down rather flawlessly actually.
