Inheritance- Fall of the new riders.
500 years ago after the defeat of Galbatorix at the hand of Eragon a shade was born from the remnants of Galbatorix's spirit along with many others that was summoned into the body Shurikan, Galbatorix's great dragon. The massive body folded and compacted itself, smoke curling around as the spirits conjoined. Out of the dark shadows steps a very tall, lean figure, firey red hair flowing down from head to the middle of his back, skin is pale and somewhat scaly with elganted ears and sharp facial features, eyes so deep a red that they were almost black.
"Ah yes..my creation has survived. Good...now we can--"
With lightning quick movement the newly formed shade ended the sorceror's speech. blood dripping from his hand, he brings it to his face and looks at it before licking the blood off, smiling a wicked toothy grin he chants a incantation and engulfs the spirit of the sorceror gaining all his knowledge in the vile art of necromancy.
The necromancer traveled north past the elven forest of Du Weldenvarden and hid for years exspanding his knowledge of necromancy and increasing in strength in both combat and magical endurance. Amid the mirid of spirits that make up the necromacer his true motives lie with the spirit of the sorceror who created him. Once served as Galbatorix's head sorceror he has vowed to take vengence on Eragon and all the new riders for the defeat of his master. It's so strong a feeling that it drives the necromancer on.
in the coming years he amassed a army of reanimated victims of creatures and humanoid and layed seige on Du weldenvarden catching Qween Arya and her aprintince Aradhelwen, and the rest of the elves offguard and unprepared. it wasn't long before the elves abandoned their sacred forest home and fled, some to the east where Eragon now lives and the rest to surda while Arya and Aradhelwen crossed the ocean to Vroengard where Murtagh and the other Riders call home.
Nasurada calls to arms to fight off the evil that has taken Alageisa. Murtagh confers with Arya, Aradhelwen, A dwarf named Iwan, a human named Gavin, and a Kull named Azurth Khan to determine what is the best way to handle the threat. Arya sends Aradhelwen east to convince Eragon to come back to help since she isn't sure they can fight this evil alone. Murtagh agrees and sends Arya and Iwan to surda to help rally to forces and make a stand against the army, while he, and Azurth Khan head for Uru'baen to help Nasurada and leave Gavin who is the youngest to watch over Vroengard.
One of the Necromancer's flyers spots Aradhelwen and move in to attack. they manage to weaken the rider and dragon and bring them down where they are overtaken by kull who have been enslaved by the Necromancer. He makes his way over to where they are being held and with a wave of his hand makes several swords appear out of nowhere and impales the Dragon killing her instantly. Taking satifaction in hearing the wails of sadness come from Aradhelwen as his forces release her and draws his personal sword. the Gleaming white rider sword that once belonged to Galbatorix. Aradhelwen screams and charges at the Necromancer slashing every which way while he effortlessly bats the slashes away, she slips up and he takes his chance and steps into her clumsy swing and disarms her from the elbow down, then swings downward so the blade sinks into her shoulder down to her chest. Staring into her eyes watching as the life leaves them before pulling the blade from her corpse. he then approaches the dragon and cuts it open to retrieve the Eldunari.
One by one he defeats the riders and grows stronger with Eldunari he collects. Murtagh was the last Rider in Alageisa until he tried to save roran and Katrina, sadly he didn't make it in time but used his rage to deal a permanent scar on the Necromancer, a long angry red scar from the top of his head down to his jaw. A scar that would be the death of him. The Necromancer knocked the sword from his hand shattering it in the process and holds him in a crushing invisable grip with Thrysta. Then the had his Kull kill Thorn right in front of him and take the Eldunari. As soon at that happened he immeditly raised him back from the dead and sent his new ally to kill the Qween and as Thorn flew off the Necromancer forced Murtagh to Scry Nasurada and to watch as Thorn slaughters her. grieve stricken he begs for death. The Necromancer looks down upon him and smiles, "Death is only the beginning." he whispers chillingly in his ear before sinking a dagger in his heart. Once the light left Murtagh's eyes the Necromancer raised him back as his slave. Now having almost all the Riders under his control he sets his sights on Surda.
Several days of traveling his army crosses the boarder into Surda and in no time lay waste to it. many casualties and damage done to the land but the Necromancer claimed victory and upon gleaming knowledge from the king of Surda about a island off the coast of the spine he sends a battlion out that way to invesigate. meanwhile he sets his eyes on the Beor mountains and the dwarven kingdom.
