Faunus

Faunus are a humanoid species similar to humans, but are distinctive by bearing animal features on their bodies.
This feature defines them as monster girls and boys for the purpose of this forum.

Origin story has them as having existed as long as the second generation of humans. However they have been subjected to racial discrimination by humans. The main reason for the xenophobia is due to humans viewing them as monsters or as having the potential to be monstrous. Already having to deal with the threat of Grimm as is. But upon learning that the Grimm are a common enemy to both of them, an alliance was a better alternative to stave off the ever-present threat. Despite being awarded equal treatment as citizens of Remnant, many faunus are treated as second-class citizens and only a few places accept them as equals. The majority living at Menagerie as a safe haven, while some others have organized a group called the "White Fang".

Reproduction:
Faunus and humans can procreate with each other but with a various outcome for the offspring:
Human + Faunus = 50/50 chance of being human or faunus
Faunus + Faunus (Same animal type) = Will become the same as the parents
Faunus + Faunus (Different animal type) = 50/50 chance of being one or the other
