Mewtwo with a new weapon! Somehow this reminds me of a movie scene..
Spoiler: show

Sounds like Genesect is strong, but I wonder if he is as intelligent as Mewtwo or just has raw psychic power?

That weapon has been around for quite a while my friend, but it's manga exclusive. It's the weapon that was given to Pokémon Adventure's Mewtwo incarnation. Pretty interesting manga with a lot of likable characters (Red (aka the first hero and the one hailing from Pallet Town) is badass and Ash Ketchum doesn't exist in that universe), so give it a read if you can (avoid the emerald arc though, it's crap compared to the rest of the story arcs and the main character for that arc is both a complete jerk and out of place (looks more like a Beyblade character lookswise)).

As for Genesect, well... It's actually quite strong, has both high physical and special attack, making it an excellent mixed attacker, has a surprisingly high speed for a steel type and all of its stats are well balanced but it's HP that's is pretty low...
Also its steel typing gives it plenty of resistances (including some to powerful types such as psychic and dragon) and total immunity against poison.

As expected of a legendary it's quite the powerhouse (despite that its stat total is among the lowest of all legendaries), but it's main forte is that it's customizable. Genesect's trademark move, Techno Blast, is usually normal type but by equiping it with certain objects (elemental drives) such move can become either Fire, Ice, Water or Electric.

.P.S.:
Sounds like Genesect is strong, but I wonder if he is as intelligent as Mewtwo or just has raw psychic power?
Neither, it can learn Psychic via TM but that's it.
It stands out for its raw power, since most of its attacks are heavy hitting moves (normal, bug and some electric moves... oddly no damaging steel type moves... via level up at the very least).
And Kaijin you are the "Perentie" of this place, IMO.

I want to see the spoon weapon be either a held item or an alt form for several Psychic Pokemon.

Good point, but it's based on Abra's line spoons rather than Adventure's Mewtwo.

Well aware of that Flare. What I'm talking about though is a spoon item that changes the Pokemon's form that would work for Psychic types . Image an Alakazam or Gardevoir or even Abra, Kirlia, or Gothorita fighting like Mewtwo in the manga.

you know, I have a theory about the new "Pokemon" there.

Probably is as their discussing this at Serebii.net and they think it's the same but won't jump to conclusions yet. Probably is since they did this for Giratina, Kyurem, Shaymin, and even the Genie Trio.

I disagree. It's connected to mewtwo yes, but I do not see that it's either a new form, or an evolution, or anything like that. All we have is that it's a connection.

And a link to back me up.

Both Serebii and Bulbapedia said it was a new form and now they say different. They really need to get their shot together.

Ok, so according to CoroCoro, what was revealed is a new forme for Mewtwo.

So given the multipule sources... I'd say it's confermed.

By the way..

Related video.

Looks like Meowth has a crush. Is it me or does the female narrator at the end sound like the voice of Pikachu?

(If I missed this video in this thread someone..I'll just delete this.)

Really? I've seen quite a few Neo-Mewtwo/Mewthree fanarts for quite a while already... And some introducing it already to Rule 34...
