Re: [3DS] Pokemon X and Y
Speaking of double battles, I'd love a full cooperative Pokemon game with a ramped up difficulty level that I could play with a friend. Any mods out there like that in Pokemon? The anime always expressed the excitement of fighting with a team of friends and their Pokemon, but never really offered it in the games. ;(

Re: [3DS] Pokemon X and Y
Still it's pretty much useless, while Scpetile has an unnatural high Special Attack...It always an oddly unusually physically oriented movepool. The only gen where you could actually could fully exploit Sceptile to its fullest was Gen III and that's because the Physical/Special split was not introduced by then (Grass was considered special on gen III).
Raising a stat that the pokémon will be unable to take advantage of (unless you shove an array of special tms down its throat) is pretty much a waste...
For that purpose it would have been dozens of millions of times more adequate to give him Motor Drive since it would boost the only stat worthy of being increased: SPEED
.P.S.:

The closest I recall is X/Y online battles, which allow to have up to four players at the same time (and it goes pretty smoothly).Speaking of double battles, I'd love a full cooperative Pokemon game with a ramped up difficulty level that I could play with a friend. Re: [3DS] Pokemon X and Y
Well, you can *sorta* do that in the Battle Maison's multi battles... But I do get what you're saying Feathers, an actual co-op battle option would be quite nice.

Re: [3DS] Pokemon X and Y
I'm a bit bummed by the ability of Mega Swampert, but hopefully the stat tweaks will make it all worth it. I mean, some Mega Evolutions saw a severe upswing in needed stats, so if Mega Swampert gets some good ATK boosts I may yet be able to make my spinach jokes as I wished (he certainly has the muscles for it already). Until then, though, he's just gonna have to float in that limbo of 'he'll be good in Rain teams I guess' -- but then again, I doubt any of us used Swampert for his Abilities in the past (Torrent or DAMP) . . . we used him for his MUSCLES! So c'mon Game Freak, give my Popeye some Spinach! (Yes I name my Swamperts 'Popeye'; it's a tradition.)
However, I think this decision for Lightningrod and Swift Swim might actually be suggestive of the direction these games are going to go in; Gen III is the origin of the Double Battle, and it was used fairly often in it -- to the point of even a tag-team Gym Leader (who turned into hell in matching clothes in Emerald) . . . so perhaps these remakes will possibly up the tag-team shenanigans a bit? They've certainly geared up Mega Sceptile for it, at any rate, with that Lightningrod.
On that note, though, I can forgive Mega Sceptile's ability boosting Sp.ATK due to TM access to Energy Ball, Grass Knot, Focus Blast, etc., Giga Drain via BW Move Tutors*, and Dragon Breath access from breeding -- Mega Sceptile might end up riding this sort of high all the way to being a mixed sweeper, as normal!Sceptile's Speed is already a profound 120 (a value shared with Alakazam, whose own Mega form ramps it up to 150 -- I shudder to imagine what they'll give Sceptile, whose calling card IS its speed backing up that 85/105 ATK/SpATK). Scary thoughts, scary thoughts. Would also love to see someone rock him on a Sun team, as he's also got access to Solarbeam (as the anime loved to drive home).
*(75 base power Special recovery move is not to be sneezed at once boosts stack on, and if he's protecting an Emolga or something I don't think it will matter if the opponent's doing it or not.)

New info. Seems the Primal Forms are a type of Mega Evo and Mega Sableye has been revealed.

Re: [3DS] Pokemon X and Y
Something mentioned about Mega Sableye is rather worrisome to me: "It is said that Mega Sableye uses the jewel as a powerful defensive tool in battle. From behind the shelter of the jewel, it can readily exploit the opponent’s weaknesses and take advantage of any openings. It is said that the jewel hardens into such strength that no attack can even make a scratch!"
Quoted bit courtesy Serebii's news blurb regarding it, but it's cropped up in at least one other place I've seen (paraphrased -- or perhaps it'd be more accurate to say that Serebii's passage is paraphrased from the other one, buuuuuut . . .), and the implications are disturbing. I mean, Ghost/Dark no longer is COMPLETELY without weaknesses thanks to Fairy . . . so we might be seeing a product of that fact -- that gem-shield might end up signifying it gets Wonder Guard, as a tip of the hat to old hacked Sableyes and Spiritombs. Of course, at the same time it could also signify the introduction of a new ability (a few certainly crept their way in through Megas, such as Aerilate and the terror that was M-Kanga), but the 'no attack can even make a scratch' bit is what suggests the Wonder Guard to me.

Its design is really lazy and unispiring, but it's still nice to see it implemented (it wasn't fair to see its counterpart (Mawile) getting one (and broken as hell) while it was left behind).
Hopefully it will have a decent ability and a defensively oreiented stat rebalance.

Re: [3DS] Pokemon X and Y
It was again to be expected (heck even it strikes me as odd that Groudon is pure Ground to begin with).
.P.S.: Am I the only one who finds remade Haruka/May/Aura extremely cute?

No you're not let me tell you. I do like the redesigns of both since they have a wet suit theme going for them. Makes since seeing how Hoenn is mostly water.Kaijin wrote:It was again to be expected (heck even it strikes me as odd that Groudon is pure Ground to begin with).

Mega Sableye is Dark/Ghost, gains Magic Bounce, and get boosts to Defense and Special Attack, but loses Speed.

Re: [3DS] Pokemon X and Y
Well, Magic Bounce isn't the end of the world. Can't get hit by status effect moves, bounces attempted entry hazards onto the enemy field, etc. . . .
. . . but 'good' remains to be seen -- we don't know what the DEF and Sp.ATK are at the end of it, so it's anyone's guess whether it'll be enough to make up for the speed hit and the . . . honestly cripplingly-average stats he had to start with.

Sounds pretty troll-y.Mega Sableye is Dark/Ghost, gains Magic Bounce, and get boosts to Defense and Special Attack, but loses Speed.
It could do wonders on competitive gaming, despite the lack of Prankster as an ability.

Quick thing but does anyone have a Mew, Shaymin, or Manaphy they wouldn't mind giving away? I'll trade something with a decent nature or a shiny if it comes down to it. Just trying to get all legendaries for a complete dex.

Re: [3DS] Pokemon X and Y
It's not a Manaphy but I happen to have a Phione if you're interested (it's not the same but hey).
I could get one since I have a few friends who have it (hooray for the clone glitch <3), so if a few days you are still unlucky in your search give me a holler and I'll try to fix something up...

Alright but it's 5:40 right now where I am so what's later tonight where you are?
@Kaijin-
Got the Phione from a friend but thanks for the offer Kaijin. I have the main legendaries, Deoxys, Darkrai, Celebi, Victini, Meloetta, Keldeo, Genesect, Arceus, Phione and I think that's it aside from the smaller ones like Mew, Shaymin and Manaphy.
